The Urbanization and Global Environmental Change (UGEC) Project is pleased to announce the Call for Session Proposals for our 2nd International Conference on Urban Transitions and Transformations: Science, Synthesis and Policy in Taipei, Taiwan, November 6-8, 2014. We invite all who are interested to submit session proposals under one or more of the four conference themes:

1) Urbanization Patterns and Processes

The conference structure has been designed to balance the synthesis of UGEC research with discussion on how the urbanization and global environmental change field can best move forward including implications for policy and planning. The concepts of urban transitions and transformations are woven throughout the four conference themes and are intended to be incorporated throughout the following session formats:

• Open and Standard Sessions
• World Café
